My experience working with Janna went above and beyond expectations! Janna has captured many moments for me and my family over the last 12 years, but my most recent photo session was the best yet! From the moment we booked the session, until I received the AMAZING images, Janna was there making sure that we would get photos I would love. Before our session she provided wardrobe consultation and ideas, and even has some amazing options at her house, including my favorite—the fun and sexy pink robe! She asked questions, and listened to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted so she could make it happen! I felt extremely comfortable and at home in her studio, and she provided great coaching on hand placement, relaxing my brow, specific poses, and much more to make sure we got the perfect shot, no matter where we were at! I don’t often get a non-smiling picture of myself I actually like, but somehow Janna was able to capture me looking amazing with all different facial expressions. I felt like she really captured the wholeness of me, and the pictures reflect all of who I am as a woman! I absolutely LOVE all the pictures she took! I had a very relaxing and easy time working with Janna. She worked with my crazy schedule to get a time that worked perfectly. I was trying to surprise my mom for our “every 5 year” photo session and so timing was important.
Once we got there we were greeted with snacks and had a chance to chat. Janna has a very calm demeanor and very accommodating to time and our personal needs and comfort levels during the shoot. She spent time making sure both my mom and I felt beautiful individually and together.
Our reveal was so thoughtful. We were giving much more than anticipated which allowed us to pick our favorites to keep in our own homes. The video of the shoot was so thoughtful and really captured the feeling of the whole experience. The photo box was beautiful and an easy place to keep the extras that won’t make it on our wall.
Overall, for events that need time and care, Janna is the photographer we love. This is the 2nd time we’ve used her for the really important moments. First was with my husband outside and that experience was just as memorable. He still has a photo of me on his phone from that shoot and we worked with Janna back in 2011-2012.

I recently had a photography session for just me, all alone, no kids in tow…and Janna made it the best and most comfortable and fun experience ever!
She is more than just a photographer…Janna understands more than anyone that the photograph is really just a side affect of the connection she has with her clients.
She helped me set aside whatever insecurities I had about stepping in front of a camera alone …and any ideas that this was too self indulgent very quickly.
For whatever reason, especially for us women, the bad stuff is easier to believe. But Janna is a pro and quickly put me at easy and made me feel worthy to stand in front of her lens.
Janna greeted me with some extra good orange spice tea along with her team that included a MUA and hair stylist. Janna made me feel like a celebrity and so special. Somewhere between Janna’s kindness and maybe the tea with a little “extra” in there …all those insecurities floated away for that moment.
I received so many wonderful compliments from people. Janna makes sure that this session is more than just about the photos though and all about an amazing and unforgettable experience with some gorgeous photos to memorialize this special moment in time.
You deserve to be celebrated , pampered and feel amazing…I’d highly recommend spending this time and investment in yourself. Most of us put ourselves last on our list but move your name to the top for this one. You won’t regret it. SN January 2023
